Pinecone
Birdhouse

Mine is on
the right, my children did the others
This cute birdhouse makes a great decorating
accent for indoors. It is easy enough for children to do,
although if the child is small (ages 8 and under), you may want
to help them break off the pinecone pieces.
Materials:
- Paper Mache birdhouse from craft store
- Pinecones (about 4 small pinecones per house)
- Tacky glue
Procedure:
- Break off the pieces of the pinecones.
- Starting at the bottom of the house, glue on the first
layer of pinecone pieces.
- Glue on the second row of pinecone pieces, making sure
they overlap the preceding row a little, to give the
effect of shingles.
- Continue with the rest of the pinecone pieces in a
similar manner, covering the sides of the house.
- Cover the roof in the same way as you did the sides,
starting at the bottom and working your way up.
