Scarecrow Shelf-Sitter
This scarecrow will be a
wonderful addition to any of your fall decorations, especially
the 3-D Cornstalks that your children might have made. :o)
Materials:
- 1 ½ bead

- Felt
- Raffia or Spanish moss
- Straw hat to fit on 1 ½bead
- Glue gun

be more fragile, but will look just fine.
- Add a basecoat to the bead with a flesh-colored paint.
Add facial features. Paint overalls, shirt, arms and
hands on the clay pot.
- When dry, glue the head to the body.
- Spray the clay pot and head with the spray sealer.
- When dry, add a bow of raffia or a neckerchief (figure 1)
around the neck.

- Cut two 6 long strips out of the felt, about 1
wide at the top, tapering to a point. Insert the point
into a bead and glue. Glue short pieces of raffia to the
inside of the bead. *** If you dont have beads for
the feet, you can make your own feet out of craft foam or
felt. Glue the legs to the inside front of the pot.
