Knit Wash Cloths
3 different ways to
make a washcloth, depending on how easy or hard you want it using a size 8
needle / Sugar n’ Cream cotton yarn
Easy:
-
Cast on 38
-
Knit 6 rows
-
Purl 2 rows
-
Knit 34 rows
-
Purl 2 rows
-
Knit 6 rows
-
Bind off
(finish)
Medium:
-
Cast on 38
-
Knit 2 rows
-
Knit one row,
but instead of putting the needle through one loop, put it through two
loops. (Knit two together)

Knit one, then
bring the yarn over the needle to make two loops. Repeat until the end of
the row and you have 38 loops again. (knit one, yarn over, knit one, yarn
over.

Knit two rows
-
Purl 2 rows
-
Knit 34 rows
-
Purl two rows
-
Knit two rows
-
Knit one row,
but instead of putting the needle through one loop, put it through two
loops. (Knit two together)

Hard: (using two colors of yarn)

Alternate row
colors as color-coded above in steps 1- 6.

Alternate colors
every two rows in step 7.

colors as color-coded above in steps 8- 13.
****When using two
colors, remember to knit with both colors on the edge to make sure your color
you are NOT using moves up with your work. If you do not do this, you WILL HAVE
loops.
