Dimensional Grapes
Paper Art
This
project is good for grades 3 - 6. Younger children might need
more help and older children can try the more difficult
variations.
Materials:
- Construction
paper
- Plain
white paper
- Black
marker
- Tacky
glue
- Crayons
- Optional:
green and brown paper twist
Procedure:
- With
a black marker on the white paper, draw a basic vine
branch with leaves and one or two cluster of grapes using
a nickel for a pattern. Color the vine and leaves, but
not the grapes. ***Older children might want to use brown
paper twist (twisted) for the branch, and green paper
twist (untwisted and leaves cut out) for the leaves. They
can sketch out the drawing in pencil and then glue on the
twist.
- Cut
strips of purple construction paper 1" wide and cut
these to 4" lengths.
- Glue
a strip into a ring to fit the grape shape and glue
standing up. Continue until all the grape shapes are
filled.
- Glue
picture onto a whole sheet of construction paper and let
dry.
