Everlasting Potted Flowers

This project is good not only for Mother's Day, but any day of the year!

Materials:

• 4" clay pot
• Floral foam
• Basket grass
• Craft paint
• Spray varnish
• Silk flowers
• Popsicle stick
• Cardstock
• Tacky glue

Procedure:

1. Have child paint the pot with acrylic craft paint. When dry, spray with the spray varnish.
2. Print a fun saying or scripture on the cardstock and cut out. If you have decorative scissors, you may wish to use them as they add a nice touch. Glue to the popsicle stick.
3. Cut floral foam to fit and insert into the pot.
4. Squeeze a generous amount of tacky glue onto the top of the foam and cover foam completely with basket grass.
5. Insert into the floral foam the silk flowers and 'sign.'
