Nativity Ornament
This ornament can be a good
gift for relatives or used in holiday hospital and nursing home
visitations.
Materials:

Popsicle sticks, whole
- 1
Popsicle stick with ½ cut from each end
- 1
Popsicle stick end cut 1 ¾ long
- Small
wood star
- 11
of gold cording (or ribbon of choice)
- Small
scrap of material 2 square
- Red paint
- Gold
paint
- Paintbrush
- Gold
glitter glue
- Other
colors of glitter glue
- Black
poster board
- Thin line
black permanent marker
- Spray
sealer
- Tacky
glue
- Hot glue
Procedure:
- Paint one whole stick and the stick with both ends cut
off red on one side.
- Paint one side of the star gold.
- Lay out the sticks to form the stable: Sides down first
with long red stick in the middle, then stable floor,
then roof, crossbeam of cross.
- Glue all pieces together.
- Taking the 1 ¾ long stick, draw two eyes with the
marker. Wrap the baby in the material by
placing it diagonally across the material. Fold one side
across the baby. Fold the bottom up. Fold the other side
across and glue to the back of the baby. Fold the
material that is above the head over the top and glue.
Glue the baby to the base of the cross.
- Tie cord to top of ornament. Hot glue star over cord.
- Place on poster board and trace outline of stable. Cut
out slightly smaller so it will fit nicely on the back of
the stable. Glue.
- Decorate as desired with glitter glue.
- Spray with sealer.
- Optional: Add a phrase to the roof of the stable with the
thin line marker.
