Nativity Ornament

This ornament can be a good gift for relatives or used in holiday hospital and nursing home visitations.

Materials:

Procedure:

  1. Paint one whole stick and the stick with both ends cut off red on one side.
  2. Paint one side of the star gold.
  3. Lay out the sticks to form the stable: Sides down first with long red stick in the middle, then stable floor, then roof, crossbeam of cross.
  4. Glue all pieces together.
  5. Taking the 1 ¾” long stick, draw two eyes with the marker. Wrap the ‘baby’ in the material by placing it diagonally across the material. Fold one side across the baby. Fold the bottom up. Fold the other side across and glue to the back of the baby. Fold the material that is above the head over the top and glue. Glue the baby to the base of the cross.
  6. Tie cord to top of ornament. Hot glue star over cord.
  7. Place on poster board and trace outline of stable. Cut out slightly smaller so it will fit nicely on the back of the stable. Glue.
  8. Decorate as desired with glitter glue.
  9. Spray with sealer.
  10. Optional: Add a phrase to the roof of the stable with the thin line marker.
