Stuffed Scarecrow
This fun project is good for
grades pre-K to 4th.
Materials:
- Scrap material
- Straw (or raffia)
- Construction paper
- Tacky glue
- Scissors
- Marker
Procedure:
- Draw a simple scarecrow face with markers. Cut it out.
- Out of the scrap material, cut out a hat, shirt, and
slacks.
- Place glue on the edges of the slacks (except where the
feet come out) and paste onto a sheet of construction
paper.
- Glue the edges of the shirt (except where the hands come
out) and paste slightly overlapping the slacks
- Color and glue on the head.
- Glue on the hat.
- Cut the straw into 2-3 lengths. Put a little bit of
glue on the ends of the straw and stuff the straw into
the sleeve holes and leg holes.
