Valentine Banner

This project is good for all ages as it lets the child express their creativity as much as their imagination will allow.

Materials:

• Tacky Glue
• Sheet of felt
• Decorative ribbon
• 12 inch dowel
• Thin ribbon
• Wooden beads
• Scissors
• Sequins, beads, scrap felt, etc.

Procedure:

1. Glue wooden beads at each end of the dowel. Glue one end of the felt sheet over the dowel and secure with clothespins until dry.
2. Decorate as desired. If you are adding decorative ribbon trim, do this first so that you can see what space you have left for embellishing.
3. For the banner above, I took a square of felt and cut a large heart. Then out of that large heart, I cut smaller hearts, positioning on the felt before gluing, to make sure it looked right. Sequins were glued to the center of extra hearts.
4. Cut a length of thin ribbon and tie to each end of the dowel next to the beads.
