Over-the-Top Peanut Butter Brownies
Ingredients:
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate (squares)
¾ cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 ½ tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 cup nuts
1 cup peanut butter
½ cup powdered sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
4 oz. semisweet chocolate
¼ - 1/3 cup butter
¼ cup milk
Brownie Layer:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Microwave unsweetened chocolate with ¾ cup butter
on high for 1 ½ minutes. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir
granulated sugar into melted chocolate. Mix in eggs and 1 ½ tsp. vanilla, blend
well. Stir in flour and nuts. Spread into 13 x 9 inch greased pan. Bake 30 –
35 minutes.
DO NOT OVERBAKE! Cool.
Peanut Butter Layer:
Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and ½ tsp. vanilla in another bowl. Blend
until smooth, adding up to ¼ cup of milk to make it a nice spreading consistency
(You may need more milk to make it spreadable). Spread over cooled brownies.
Top Layer:
Microwave semisweet chocolate and ¼ cup butter for 1 ½ minutes. Stir until
smooth. Spread over peanut butter layer. Cool until set.
